Abstract: 

In this work, we study two uncoupled quasistatic problems for thermo viscoplastic materials. In the model of the equation of generalised thermo viscoplasticity, both the elastic and the plastic rate of deformation depend on a parameter $\theta $ which may be interpreted as the absolute temperature. The boundary conditions considered here as displacement-traction conditions as well as unilateral contact conditions. We establish a variational formulation for the model and we prove the existence of a unique weak solution to the problem, reducing the isotherm problem to an ordinary differential equation in a Hilbert space.

Abstract: 

The focus of the present study is the BBM equation which models unidirectional propagation of small amplitude, long waves in dispersive media. This evolution equation has been used in both laboratory and field studies of water waves. The principal new result is an exact theory of convergence of the two-point boundary-value problem to the initial-value problem posed on an infinite stretch of the medium of propagation. In addition to their intrinsic interest, our results provide justification for the use of the two-point boundary-value problem in numerical studies of the initial-value problem posed on the entire line.

Abstract: 

We consider two simple non-resonant boundary value problems for a nabla fractional difference equation. First, we construct associated Green's functions and obtain some of their properties. Under suitable constraints on the nonlinear part of the nabla fractional difference equation, we deduce sufficient conditions for the existence of solutions to the considered problems through an appropriate fixed point theorem. We also provide two examples to demonstrate the applicability of the established results.

Abstract: 

In this paper, we use a third degree B-spline function to construct an approximate solution for third order linear and nonlinear boundary value problems coupled with the least square method. Several examples are given to illustrate the efficiency of the proposed technique.

Abstract: 

In the present study, the boundary value problems in generalized thermodiffusive elastic medium has been investigated as a result of inclined load. The inclined load is assumed to be a linear combination of normal load and tangential load. Laplace transform with respect to time variable and Fourier transform with respect to space variable are applied to solve the problem. As an application of the approach, distributed sources and moving force have been taken. Expressions of displacement, stresses, temperature and concentration in the transformed domain are obtained by introducing potential functions. The numerical inversion technique is used to obtain the solution in the physical domain. Graphical representation due to the response of different sources and use of angle of inclination are shown. Some particular cases are also deduced.

Abstract: 

The spline collocation method is used to approximate solutions of boundary value problems. The convergence analysis is given and the method is shown to have second-order convergence. A numerical illustration is given to show the pertinent features of the technique.
